Origin and Terroir The grapes for this Grüner Veltliner originate from our vineyards located in the 1000-year-old wine town of Krems. For centuries, these vineyards along the Danube have offered a diverse terroir ranging from mighty loess soils to barren primary rock - perfect conditions for a multi-layered Grüner Veltliner. In addition, the climate contributes to the clear fruit with cold air currents from the Waldviertel at night and warm Pannonian temperatures during the day. Vinification The grapes were selectively harvested, destemmed and pressed without maceration time. The resulting must showed a fresh fruit and typical spiciness. Fermentation was completed in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. After a short time on the fine lees, the wine was filtered and bottled. Tasting notes light yellow, fresh apple and fine floral notes on the nose, balanced on the palate with elegant fruit and classic spice. Drink- and Meal recommendation This wine is a perfect match for any flavorful cuisine, such as spicy or hot dishes. This fresh Veltliner is particularly suitable for an aperitif on warm summer days.
