Zweigelt-Rosé Göttweiger Berg 2020
Origin and Terroir
The grapes for this Rosé originate from our vineyards around the ‘Göttweiger Berg‘ in the southern Kremstal wine region. The vines mainly grow on gravel which is covered by a massive layer of loess. The warm Pannonian climate from the east is creating a micro-climate unique to the Danube valley. The combination of the well-suited soil along with the unique climate of the Danube valley supports the ripening of the grapes perfectly.
Vinification
In the cellar the grapes were destemmed and introduced to a classic mash fermentation. After 8 hours of maceration the mash was pressed, and the fermentation was completed in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks. After fermentation the wine was cleared before being bottled.
