Winery.
Since 1936

Since 1936, we Müllers in Krustetten, Kremstal, have been making wine. The history of our estate dates back to 1270. Today, we care for a variety of vineyards in southern Kremstal and the Wachau.
Rooted in Krustetten.
At home around the world.

On new paths.
Rooted in tradition.
We nurture our vineyards with compost, and in the wine cellar we work with many small stainless-steel tanks, large oak barrels, and individual batches. For us, it’s the only way to express quality and individuality in every bottle. Our wines are like us—each with its own character, yet all unmistakably Müller.
ALL FOR
THE WINE.
A group of strong personalities—and plenty of heart. That’s what sets our winery apart. A constellation that is truly one of a kind. he work in the vineyard, the fine-tuning in the cellar, the whole wine experience—everything is personally crafted by the family.

Family for us, that also includes our staff.

From Single-Vineyard Excellence
to Precision in the Glass.
Our puzzle has 384 pieces—and we solve it every year. That’s roughly how many parcels we manage in the Kremstal and the Wachau. Exact numbers? Impossible to determine. Our winery lies by the river and moves with its flow. The Danube shapes many of our vineyards.
Our passion lies in translating the uniqueness of each single vineyard into precise, expressive wines. Our sites are among the highest-elevation vineyards in the southern Kremstal, complemented by our vineyards in the Wachau. Exciting contrasts are guaranteed.
Kremstal
The wine region surrounds Krems an der Donau, a city with over a thousand years of history. Here in the southern Kremstal, the Danube is always in view, ensuring constant air movement. Our vineyards are clustered around the wine villages of Krustetten, Hollenburg, and Furth bei Göttweig. The soils are diverse: Danube gravel, primary rock, and the calcium-rich loess, whose often meter-high walls are home to small animals and birds. Did you know that the southern Kremstal has one of the largest population of bee-eaters?

Did you know that the southern Kremstal has one of the largest population of bee-eaters?
Wachau
The Wachau is world-famous for its dry white wines and its miles of ancient dry-stone terraces. Our vineyards are located at the eastern end, south of the Danube, around the wine town of Mautern an der Donau.
Here we grow Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, and Pinot Noir — vinified in the regional style and bottled as Wachau DAC. Above all, the sparse primary rock soils of the thousand-year-old Süßenberg, Alte Point, and Leukuschberg sites make the wines from this area exceptionally mineral and versatile.

Why do bee-eaters feel so at home here?
Because we give them space. The country’s largest population of bee-eaters nests in the loess walls along the sunken lanes of the Kremstal.
We consciously leave the embankments between our vineyard terraces untouched, as they provide vital habitats for insects, birds, and small wildlife. Biodiversity that benefits our vines — and, ultimately, all of us.
FROM YOUNG ROOTS,
TO GREAT WINES – A SEAMLESS CICLE
Our vine nursery. Since 1936. We bring as much experience to grafting vines as we do to winemaking itself. The two go hand in hand: selection, cultivation, quality control. We know what works where. Benefit from our experience.

We are proud that our agriculture is diverse, creating a sustainable cycle. In the vineyards, we deliberately leave certain areas to nature – hedges, embankments, and sunken paths provide important habitats for insects and rare species like the European bee-eater. Yes, as winemakers, we are also stewards of the landscape.
We practice sustainability beyond the vineyard soils. Fair and respectful cooperation matters just as much — it is part of who we are as a family estate. This commitment is reflected in the Austrian sustainability seal Nachhaltig Austria, which we have proudly held since 2015.
More about sustainable austria
Sustainably Certified Since 2015
We are proud to carry the NACHHALTIG AUSTRIA (Sustainable Austria) seal of approval. This is the result of many individual steps:In the vineyard, we rely on sloped terraces and cover crops to support insect populations. Or, as we like to say, “more life to the party!” This actively promotes biodiversity and soil health — as does our use of compost.
The sun provides our energy, thanks to photovoltaic panels on the roof. To minimize energy consumption, our wine cellar is built directly into the hillside. Fairness and cooperation are inherent in our family-run business — a core criterion of this certification. We wouldn’t have it any other way!

FROM OUR FIELDS
AND GARDENS
The wine is the star of the show — but the apricot plays an important role too, alongside our grain fields, our apple orchards, and our forests. We are proud of our broadly diversified agriculture.
This enables us to design our internal processes to be particularly sustainable — for example, by enriching our vineyards with compost produced on site. At the same time, it allows us to create a wide range of specialty products we are proud of.
All about apricots
The apricot: Verena’s specialty. Every member of our family has their own special passion. Verena turns our homegrown fruit into marmalade and chutney. When our Heuriger is open, fresh apricots also find their way into light desserts and delicate cakes.

Fresh apricots are available directly from the farm once they are perfectly ripe in July. Preserved and bottled, they bring a taste of summer to the table all year round.
We also turn them into nectar, liqueur and brandy – perfect as a gift, a regional souvenir, or simply to enjoy.
Grain & Flour
On our fields, we grow the grain that is later milled into flour. From it, we bake the bread for our Heuriger – honest, hearty, and full of flavor. Our flour is also available in 1 kg bags for home use. The straw from our fields is returned to the winery’s own compost, completing the circle from field to table.

Juices & Non-Alcoholic
Full of flavor – without a drop of alcohol. From our grapes, apples, and apricots, we create refreshing drinks for any occasion. Blanc Zero sparkles festively, made from hand-picked grapes from our high-altitude vineyards. Our apple and grape juices are pressed pure from our own orchards, delivering full-bodied taste in every bottle. With our Wachau apricot nectar, you can enjoy a taste of summer all year round, while the delicate Verjus adds a fresh grape note to drinks and dishes.

Premium Spirits
Our apricots are transformed into fine distillates: apricot brandy and oak-aged apricot brandy – crafted with patience and care. In addition, we offer our aromatic, carefully blended vermouth. Each spirit carries the signature of our estate and is perfect as a gift, a local souvenir, or simply to enjoy.
