Origin and Terroir The Chardonnay Reserve, as all the wines of the winery, is a result of cooperation of two brothers and their families: Stefan takes care of the vineyard around the Göttweiger Berg and makes sure that Leopold gets healthy grape material to work with in the cellar. The grape material for Chardonnay Reserve grows on loamy soil in south-east facing vineyards in southern Kremstal. Thanks to the warm soil conditions and the continental climatic influences, this plot is especially suited for powerful Burgundy varieties. Vinification The grape material was selectively harvested, and the healthy grapes were gently pressed. The fermentation started in temperature regulated stainless steel tanks and ended in big oak barrels. Wine description Chardonnay Reserve has middle yellow color, ripe fruity notes develop in the nose as well on the palate. Long aging potential.
